-- Michael Burke

I can tell you hundreds of examples where clients (and myself) have over-ridden their gut instinct and made a bad decision. After they often say, "I just had a funny feeling...but decided to do it anyway." You've had these experiences I'm sure. What I've found is that our "gut" is an amazingly accurate and quick decision maker, but our mind messes it up. Here's How: You make a decision with your gut and then three seconds later, your mind kicks in and tries to personalize the decision. The problem is that the mind also brings to the table all your past experiences, fears, beliefs, judgments, other people's opinions, etc. So, all of a sudden, your crisp, clear decision gets pounded by a barrage of rocks, mud, and sticks...so much for simplicity and clarity!! You see, the gut decides on simple, pure, clean instinct (especially when you are well grounded/centered) and your mind clusters it up. Our minds are very powerful but if misdirected, can waste hundreds of hours and slow us down dramatically - worse yet, we end up more stressed. Coach Kevin Challenge
